Every year, the Christmas party is a very special moment to end the year together and create wonderful memories. This year, the Focus Group opted for a unique experience: On November 29, 2024, we spent an evening in the tropics – in the middle of Leipzig, in the zoo’s Gondwanaland.
Wintery atmosphere at the Christmas market
The evening traditionally began with a visit to the Christmas market. We soaked up the winter atmosphere with warming Feuerzangenbowlen and got in the mood for the rest of the evening.
From winter to the tropics
After the Christmas market, we headed into the tropical world of Gondwanaland. The impressive tropical hall with its variety of plants and animals immediately put us in a completely different mood. In pleasant temperatures, we explored the paths through the “jungle” on our own.
A buffet of culinary delights awaited us and we enjoyed the exotic atmosphere over a relaxed dinner. The tropical raft trip was another highlight, where we were able to glide together through the fascinating scenery of Gondwanaland – an experience that impressed us all.
An evening full of experiences
After the raft ride, we continued our exploration tour through the tropical hall. We had the freedom to experience and discover the jungle at our own pace. The evening ended on the dance floor, where we partied for a long time in an exuberant mood.

The Christmas party at Gondwanaland was an experience that we will all remember – a special mix of relaxation, adventure and team spirit. We are already looking forward to the next events together!
